"Watch Rash" is a common (but rare) complaint among watch wearers. You take off your watch and find a red, itchy circle underneath. Before you blame an allergy, consider the two most common culprits: moisture and fit.
Moisture Trapping: If you wear a silicone band 24/7, sweat and water get trapped between the rubber and your skin. This maceration weakens the skin barrier, leading to irritation. The fix? Rotate your bands. Switch to a breathable Nylon band like Sport Loop or Braided Solo Loop for sleep and casual wear to let your skin breathe.
The "Wrong Size" Friction: This is often overlooked. If you are wearing a band that isn't sized perfectly for your Apple Watch case (e.g., a 44mm band on a 45mm Apple Watch), the connection point may not articulate correctly. This forces the band to sit unevenly on the wrist, creating pressure points that rub and chafe.
Nickel Allergies: Some bands have metal that contains nickel. Our stainless steel and titanium are generally more hypoallergenic due to our quality and manufacturing processes. If you have sensitive skin, stick to fabric bands where metal doesn't touch the skin directly.
